if you guessed it was time for my and austin's second wedding anniversary, well... then you're a smarty pants.
can you believe it's been almost 731 days since our wedding? {so technically if you are reading this post on the day i post it, it will have only been 725 days, but you get the point.} so anyway, in order to celebrate our upcoming milestone i've decided to term the next 7 days "wedding week"
and each day here on cocktailsandconfetti will feature a different wedding-related post. a few will be about how we diy-ed the whole shebang while others will be just a look back at fun times and pretty pictures. sound fun? i thought so.
to kick off wedding week, let's start with a little reminiscing about how austin and i met. many of you will know the story already, but i'm sharing anyway cause it's my blog and my wedding week and i do what i want.
so. the story of how we met will differ depending on who is telling the story.
my story goes like this:
i met austin in the fall of 2004 when my adpi sister, brianne, {who knew austin from high school} had us both over to her place for dinner. come to find out, austin and i were in the same biology class at school. austin and i talked on the phone a few times over the next few days/weeks and eventually austin began picking me up at my dorm to drive me to class. yes, it was probably more of a hassle than if i had just walked to class, but that wasn't the point.
and then austin's story goes a little like this:
austin says that he and i met way before brianne ever introduced us. according to him we first met at our college orientation session. he even claims he said hi to me while waiting in line at the id office for our mocs cards {he also claims i was somewhat rude to him and failed to respond. me? rude? no way}. then when classes started he remembered me when he saw that i was in the same biology class with him and when brianne mentioned in passing to him that she and i had joined the same sorority, he wanted her to re-introduce us.
whichever way the story really goes, it doesn't matter. because whether he stalked me or brianne introduced us first, the story ends the same. and that's in happily every after. {everyone now: awwwwwww}
and just for fun, thanks to this one for the introduction:
it's really quite a miracle that either one of us found someone to marry. those lucky guys.
